Video transcript:

I have my life back, and my outlook has changed. I don’t have to stop and think “I really can’t do that–it causes too much pain.” So now we just do whatever we want to do whenever we want to do it.

My name is Cindy. I’m 56. I work in the financial field and I have been there for 25 years. 10 years ago I was diagnosed with arthritis in my hips. At the time I went through physical therapy and we did Celebrex and I was able to wean myself off of the Celebrex and with physical therapy I did fairly well until 2012-2013, and then it got to be more than I could handle, so in January ‘14 I did get my first steroid injection, which helped, for about 9 months. Then it was back in for another injection. We knew it was eventually was going to be a hip replacement for me.

I saw Dr. Jackson first in March of ‘15 and he said that I could use the super-concentrated platelet injection and that we’d do it in both hips and it was at my discretion when we did it, so I opted to wait till October. It was easier than I thought . We did the procedure on a Thursday. I was back at work on Monday.

Before the procedure I considered myself at an 8 with pain. It was pretty constant and I have no pain now so I am a 0. Since the procedure I have been able to do 100% percent of what I wanted to do, probably 110, and before the procedure I was probably around a 40%. I had trouble doing stairs, I had trouble walking. Getting up out of my chair from a seated position. Now we don’t have to park at the front of the parking lot at the store. We park at the back of the parking lot. We can walk the dog. I can do whatever I want to do now with no pain.

Actually, a lot of my family members I have given Dr. Jackson’s card to because arthritic hips run in our family, and I’ve told them that you don’t have to have hip replacement, there is a better option out there that is less invasive and much better on your body. My goal was to not have to take anything–no Celebrex, no Tylenol. I just feel like it is better for you if you are taking less things. I am currently not taking any medication for my hips.

It’s been a great experience. I never thought I would get to the point without having a hip replacement where I would be where I am today. It’s fabulous, and everybody needs to do it!

Like all medical procedures, Regenexx procedures have a success and failure rate.
Not all patients will experience the same results.
