Hand & Wrist Procedure Outcomes

Regenexx maintains an active patient registry that tracks patients’ progress or side effects, post-procedure. Our outcomes database contains records on tens of thousands of Regenexx procedures performed by physicians in our network.

Industry-Leading Musculoskeletal Specialists – Focused on Results

Regenexx patients benefit from the expertise of a board-certified physician who handles both their evaluation and their Regenexx procedure. Patients receive a treatment plan customized to their specific condition or injury needs. Regenexx non-surgical procedures are informed by research, utilize leading biotechnology, and are supported by over 19 years of patient results. These injection-based procedures require less downtime compared to surgery. Regenexx patients return to normal daily activities as tolerated. Most resume light activities and work after 5 to 7 days and return to sports at 6 to 8 weeks.

Dr. Bergum has been practicing interventional orthopedics for over 15 years. His residency training was at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine – Rochester, MN in Family Medicine, and his fellowship training in Sports Medicine was at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. He has extensive training in the field of Regenerative Medicine and image-guided musculoskeletal injections through groups such as the Interventional Orthobiologics Foundation, Mayo Clinic, and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and has ANSI accredited Registered in Musculoskeletal (RMSK) sonography certification. He has done additional training at the world-renowned Centeno-Schultz Clinic in Colorado and is certified by both the IOF and Regenexx to perform advanced-level injections throughout the body, including the spine.

Orthobiologic injections allow us to help the body repair areas of musculoskeletal degeneration and injury without the use of (and associated cell damage from) corticosteroids, with the goal of regaining function, decreasing pain, and avoiding surgery. I take the time to let my patients tell me their whole story, including their goals and challenges, and perform a thorough musculoskeletal exam. I take a whole-body, holistic approach to my patients, and work with my patients to get them “back into their game”.
